What do you use to deep clean your air fryer?

Of course I wash it up when it's been used but you get that film of burnt on grease don't you?

Will degreaser get the box sparkly again? Oven spray? Or do we just call it patina?

No discussion of how I wouldn't have this problem in the first place if I used liners please.

Mine doesn’t get that kind of dirty, it has really effective non stick.

i bung it in the dishwasher sometimes if there isn’t much washing up!

I am following this because we used silicone liners and DH thinks this caused the fat to bounce back up the the elements and then it started smoking and we got a new one under warranty. With the new one we stopped using the liners but we would like to clean the element from time to time with something, probably a toothbrush and dishwasher soap, but I'm not sure. As for deep cleaning the actual trays, I'd be interested in what others suggest.

I use fairy power spray and hot water to clean ours

I've found the trays easy enough to clean, either by hand or in the dishwasher, but the elements and fans are so difficult and fiddly to clean around and above. I use a toothbrush and Elbow Grease airfryer cleaning spray but never get them really clean - it's a real design flaw.
