Washing dog poop duvet in machine

Just gone to get duvet out the cupboard , one that has a cover already on so you don’t have to add one. Its our spare or sofa one. Seen what looks like either poop or chocolate on it, smells of not much at all but it was put away about 3 weeks ago, would dog poo still smell ?
anyway i have wiped of the solid bits with a disinfectant wipe , then Rubbed some laundry liquid on the area and chucked in machine on 60 steam wash with vanish , laundry liquid and laundry sanitiser. Then another 40 wash. Would that be enough to sanitise the duvet. I will put WM on 90 degree drum clean, assuming the worse and it was dog poo would the machine then be clean to put normal clothes in ( i have a towel wash so can put that in next at 60) anything else i should/ could do

about once a month i put a few of those baby milton steriliser tablets on a hot wash .Keeps the machine from getting that mildewy smell

also urine eliminator spray good for removing pet smells like sick urine or poo as it has enzymes which break down the biological odours

I think you have it all covered OP.

The enzymatic urine spray stuff is a brilliant at breaking down biological stains but bio laundry detergent is good too, and with the sanitiser too I think you are all set.
