Do any pads for furniture on wooden floors stay on?

Can anyone recommend pads or something else to put under dining chairs etc… to protect wooden floors? I’ve tried so many brands but they all peel off quickly and leave a mess. Are the ones you screw into the furniture the only ones that will stay on? Thanks.

I got mine in Lidl and they've been on for years. I have also seen ones with a pin which might suit you if you are concerned about screw-in ones.

I've got screw on ones that have a glide coating, as per picture.

The furniture gliders which @Chasingsquirrels mentions are the best things for you. We had them on all the chairs in 2 restaurants (one with Georgian floorboards) and they were brilliant - no scraping, no floor damage and easy to wipe if something got spilled nearby...

Oh, thank you. Where did you get them?
