What's the best way to get cat wee off a doormat

We have one of those doormats which is large and cut to fit a frame.

It's the kind that is sort of ribbed (1in wide) and is fairly short pile/no pile.

The cat has weed on it overnight, I think in several places.

The doormat comes up so I'm tempted to throw in into the garden and hose it down, but what should I use to completely get rid of the smell?

Honestly I would replace it. Even if you can’t smell it your cat will and then it becomes a litter tray.
