How to get chewing gum out of football strip?

Hello!

So some chewing gum fairy who doesn’t live in this house as no one wants to own up to it has left some chewing gum in a pocket of something that’s been washed. The only affected items from the load are a football strip and a sweater type jumper, the jumper I’ve been able to pick it out basically and it’s fine but the strip is just relentless!
I’ve tried freezing it and picking it off but it’s like the material just won’t let it freeze, it’s really gooey still when I try and pick it off, just wondered if there were any miracle products or hacks anyone knows of 😢

Put the clothes in the freezer, wait for the gum to go solid, then hopefully you will be able to crack it off.

Drat! Just read your OP properly. dunno then, er...

Soak it in hot vinegar. It should peel off.

Or freeze it and it should break off.

Using a hairdryer on it and scrape it off as it softens - but it is utterly gross to do!

WD40
No idea why it works, but it got chewing gum off my sons school trousers when nothing else worked
