I've never had quartz before but have just spent a hideous amount of money on a worktop I want to love for a long time.

So please, what products do you use and how do I keep it shiny?

It's white btw, with some veining

Oh gosh, we were just thinking of this for our kitchen. Thought it would be easier than the wooden worktops
we’ve had for the last decade, but it doesn’t sound it!

We had clear glass protectors in the area near the kettle and sink. Perhaps we’ll use that on the quartz too.

The spray bar keepers friend was recommended by the kitchen fitters, in fact I think they left a sample bottle. It’s never failed yet and 3/4 years on worktops look as good as new. Hate the smell of it though!

Well we've had the template done so no going back now.. 😱

Chap who came said cif is the best thing and wouldn't take off the shine, but I'm not convinced.

I have white quartz worktops in a very busy kitchen and it's fantastic! Please don't worry. You are supposed to use a cleaner that ph neutral. I actually contacted method about this and they said all of their multipurpose cleaners (not anti bac) were close to ph neutral. I am currently using an Astonish spray which is anti bac, and ph neutral so safe to use on quartz and granite. It's pomegranate scented and I bought it from Asda for about £2. If there are any stains or rust marks, I use bar keepers friend powder. It easily removes curry stains or rust etc.

Thank you @TheNuthatch that's reassuring.

@Frosty1000 I know this is an old post but I’ve just got a quartz worktop, I’ve been using soapy water but got a little area that’s cloudy, not sure if I forgot to rinse, do you rinse yours?
