GO - buy a CD and fake it. He won't believe his mama would trick him

(Actually, I taught myself tp play the guitar and it can be very soothing and therapeutic)

Oh God I'm spending all afternoon on MN....

Next jobs:
Change bedding in DSs rooms

Ludaloo · 11/04/2008 16:50

Hi

Dyls hope you have a fab holiday

Well my cleaning job was absolutely fine.....apart from the fact I managed to set the fire alarm off (not sure how...I think it might have been the vaccum cleaner they have there...it smelled very dodgy!??) and had to chase around the village trying to find who was in charge of turning it off! Good god it was loud!
Apart from that...it was ok
I did the loo, and the kitchen and then wiped the tables...hoovered the floor and the mats, tidied the sand pit away and then mopped the floor.
Janni I think being paid does make it a little easier...but I actually had to try not to clean too well...as I only get paid to do an hour...and I really could have stayed longer!

I have now got to wait for the man to come back to sort the emersian heater....he came this morning, and had to go and find a bit to put back in it, which hopefully he is doing sometime this evening.

Bianca... good to chat too...shame it was brief...but still....nice to catch up
Glad the hair cuts went well....we are all due haircuts too.

Right off to sort supper out

Ludaloo · 11/04/2008 16:57

(by the way...I should have added there...that it was my fault entirely...well actually the man fixing the heaters fault...that our chat was brief Bianca didn't mean to sound acusing! )

TheMadHouse · 11/04/2008 17:16

Afternoon all

Bainca No

Luda Glad work was OK

Well mum has had a mamogram, but will get her results by letter, she is going on to a programme where she will have screening every 18 months rather than 3 years and then 3 yearly after 73.

MIL well thats a different matter. DS2 was up from 2pm (I think she must have pinched him) and she brought and fed then chocolate - arggggggg. So they have just picked a their dinner (DS1 told on her). And as she was leaving she told me she is signing up for a dating agency - she is still married and living in the same house and FIL

Role on DH getting home

grouchyoscar · 11/04/2008 17:21

Janni I've had the guitar for 6 years. I've even had a guitar lesson in Chicago (long story, things you do on holiday but I got an unexpected BFP, Ed arrived and I've been busy since I know 3 chords and Lou Reed says any one who knows 3 chords can play sweet jane so there is hope

tortoise · 11/04/2008 17:28

Hello all.
Looks like lots of FLYing going on.
None done here. Too much wii playing.

Well, it is quieter here. DS's have gone to their Dads until Monday eve!

Bianca No but i expect some people do. Shame you weekend plans have had to change. Hope mil is ok.

Luda Hope heater is fixed soon. lol @ setting fire alarm off!

Dyls Have a good holiday. Going somewhere nice? (You have probably said already)

EHM bet that was scary. Glad both you and Ellie didn't get hurt. I bet she will love pre-school.

tortoise · 11/04/2008 17:30

GO Good luck with learing to play guitar. Good that you know a little already. DS2 has lessons at school. He could get better if only he would practice!

BiancaCastafiore · 11/04/2008 18:16

I don't look at the shopping section so wondered if otehrs did...we had thought about advertising but I think we'll leave it for now.

EHM sounds scary! Glad no-one was hurt x
Tort my dd wants to learn guitar, I hope she'll be offered trhe chance at school. Does your school provide instruments?
Luda no worries re the short chat - at least we finally caught each other! Any news on the water heater yet?
TMH at MiL.

We've had fun with friends this afternoon, then popped to the library and ended up having a play at the park too
Supper is eaten and tidied away. I'm just running the kids a bath now then hope they'll go to bed without a fight (they're pretty good these day tbh).
Dh not home for a couple of hours

tortoise · 11/04/2008 18:41

Depends on cost whether it could be worth it.
Am about if you want to chat when DC are in bed. I had to provide DS2 a guitar. Quite cheap in Argos for a half size one.

FunkyGlassSocks · 11/04/2008 18:43

Hi everyone, DH took this morning off so we could take the DDs out an have some quality time. We went shopping and got DD1 a new rug (with hopscotch on) for her bedroom to go with her new midsleeper bed All went a bit pearshaped as mid-morning they both had a fever so we came home and they slept all afternoon!

BiancaCastafiore · 11/04/2008 19:00

FGS hope the dds feel better soon x Rug sounds fun
Tort if I have time between getting the kids to bed and dh getting home I'll come and chat Kids in th ebath atm, I'm watching todays episode of Doctors on iplayer on the laptop sitting on the landing so I can keep an eye on them in the bath at the same time

tortoise · 11/04/2008 19:08

lol sounds good Bianca. I must look into that. Haven't seen Doctors since Neighbours swapped channels.

BiancaCastafiore · 11/04/2008 19:12

We use iplayer for BBC and what-ever-it's-called for channel 4 (on demand?) haven't videoed anything for weeks! It's very handy. We have the last two episodes of Torchwood to watch this evening

TheMadHouse · 11/04/2008 19:46

Evening All

EHM Hope you are all OK and that the shower door is fixed - it sounds really scary.

Boys are in bed and FIL has been to collect BILs wendy house - little plastic thing, so there is now room for the wooden playhouse. I am hoping that the rain stops on sunday, so we can get it up and stained for them. I will then take some pictures and post.

DH picked up his new specs and they are cool.

I have calmed down re MIL.

No plans for tomorrow really, we have enchanted to watch if this weather keeps up

Janni · 12/04/2008 08:23

Feeling grumpy (I'm so bad in the mornings!)
