to discover that cooker timers are actually REALLY USEFUL.

You set them, they go off when the potatoes are cooked, however long you have been on MN distracting the DC's are being.

Must head off now to reheat some rice from last night.

Dp bought me a horrible digital one as a Christmas present years ago. Obviously I was absolutely furious with him.

I use it every day. Nothing he has ever bought me has got more use. He still occasionally notices it and tries to convince me that he was right and it was a great Christmas present after all... no dice honey. I do love it, but prefer my presents a little more useless and pretty.
