Hi
Recommendations and tips for online selling please.

I'm rubbish at getting stuff we no longer need out of the house/garage as I hate to waste things (taking to the tip feels very wasteful) and want things to be useful to someone else. I also hate people coming to the house to pick stuff up as it makes me feel uncomfortable. I have recently tried FB marketplace but for some reason the posts were declined as breeched their animal rules (WTF - it was a piano!)

We also have a few things (furniture or toy collections) that might worth a little bit of money which would be helpful for us.

So the items I can think of immediately are:-
-oak dining table and chairs
-digital piano
-wooden wardrobe
-endless playmobil
-sylvanian fsmilies
-train sets

We need to get rid of quite a lot of stuff soon as we are moving to a smaller house.

Any ideas or tips please. I probably just need to get over my anxiety about it. 😬

I personally use FB market place. Its free, people know they have to come collect. I stick to our locality not nationwide

You do get a lot of wasters so make your ad as informative as possible - sizes, any damage etc and loads of pictures and ignore the enquiries that havent read the ad - they really arent interested. Be realistic about the price

Someone who wants it will be there like a shot, none of this hold it till Tuesday for me and Tuesday never comes. I get better prices on FB then I would the local auction house ( and they are really handy when you have a lot to clear ) and Im prepared to wait. I had a tent on for a year before it sold , but it was in its bag under a bed, not in my way , not a bother

Put it all on gumtree
in each item, make sure you say you’re having a clear out and to look at your other items for sale.

Furniture is actually the one thing I consistently have success in selling at decent prices on FB Marketplace, plus local FB selling groups.

I have put stuff on ebay for 1p before just to get rid of it. That has been a successful strategy for me, and actually made me some cash too.

Ooh, what Playmobil sets do you have please? Are they complete sets or just a motley assortment of bits? I might be interested...

Lots of well loved sets but they aren't in boxes and might have the odd bit missing. We are j20 of m25 in case you might be interested.

Thanks @Sticki I'm in Suffolk, so probably wouldn't be any good unless you were able to post stuff, but thanks anyway!
