1st time buyer of a robo cleaner vaccum except I have no idea what is what. A quick look on Amazon shows a variety of unfamiliar brands and a wide range of prices. What I'm looking for is one that does:

Mop hard floor
Vacuum
Self charges

I cant think of anything else that would be useful. Im not looking for top of the range just a decent middle of the road one. So what does everyone use?

We’ve recently bought a Roborock s7 ultra, which vacuums and mops, and absolutely love it. We have hard floors and a dog, so lots of fur plus muddy paw prints, boots etc.

It isn’t a budget option, and you need a smart phone to operate it, but it is absolutely brilliant.

How does the mop function works on Amtico flooring do you know? Do you use the mop with only plain water or can it use Amtico cleaning solution as well?

@ThisNavyDog We have polyflor LVT (like karndean) and it works well, you can only use the roborock cleaner if you want to keep the warranty. I’m sure other types would be fine, but I’m not going to take the risk while it is under warranty.

It is more of a good wipe than a traditional mop, it just goes up & down pressing the damp mop onto the floor as it goes. You can set how often it washes the mop & you can vacuum and mop at the same time, or vacuum first then mop, or just one of those. We have a cleaner once a week who does a proper clean, then I run the robot round every other day or so. The dirty water tank is filthy/has loads of grit at the bottom so it must be doing a decent job! I do put a dash of zoflora in the dirty tank as I’d heard it can get stinky.

I have a 15 year old Roomba. I've changed out the battery myself.

It doesn't mop though.
