PiL, dh and kids have gone for a walk - I've stayed here to "clear away lunch" ie - have a few minutes peace and quiet without MiL harping on at me about her dead cat

Bianca What is it with women of a certain age/disposition and their ex cats? My mother (Who I am estranged from, yep my strange mother) had an 11 year old moggy who concked out and for years her conversation always leaned towards 'XX has a cat who is 18, I said (her cat) wasn't old' AAAGGGHHH The lad next door got put away for a hideous drug related murder and it was 'remember that time I put him up against a wall for touching (her cat)?' She's met Ed twice and she's spoken to him about it too.

MiL is notorious for harping on about anyone/thing dead or terminally ill. We were (thankfully) seated at a seperate table from PiL at the wedding but MiL said to me this afternoon that she wished they'd been sitting with us as everyone else on her table was talking about their dead relatives EXACTLY as MiL does to us usually!!! Perhaps she's finally realising how depressing it is!

Evening all

I am decorated out - didnt manage the kitchen, but the down stairs loo is now done too and DH cracked on with the patio - all the slabs are laid. Tomorrow is time for the retaining wall to be done [exhausted emo]

I think we need a mad parent smiley. My bloody mother rang to say she had slept in and needed till lunchtime to pull herself round, then proceeded to snap the key in the glass door. SO I picked her up, she didnt even make a cuppa for us and then took her home at 4 and had to smash the glass to get in and then she left me to hoover it up!!!!!!!

Anyway from a flying perspective I have cleaned the downstairs loo and bathroom

TMH You inspired me to do the (achievable) bit of decorating I needed to do so thanks

Done sod all else TBH tho.

Cycled io the shop this morning with DS2 to get some food in. We had nothing left for breakfast!
This afternoon i have washed up and pur WM and TD on. And sat watching films! Very lazy day hence the house is even more of a tip than usual.

Bianca Haven't had the money for new microwave yet. Glad the soup went well. I love making soup. Only me that will eat it though! DS's will eat tins of soup but not my homemade one! Need to find an easy tomato soup recipe. They will probably eat that.
I tend to do carrot,leek and onion soup, carrot and parsnip soup and carrot,orange and coriander(i think) soup.
I'm sorry, when i saw DD was a bad loser i thought 'just like her mum!' (sorry)

Arrgh forgotten who else said what now!
Back to school in the morning. As usual i don't know if they all gave uniform ready! Probably in the pile in my room. I was suppose to put it away today.

Tort I hope that is not a cold coming on is it?????

Well I am clean (showered), washer is on, bed has been made, bath has been resealed and all the decorating kit put away.

And a pizza has just been delivered - so catch you all in the morning. Night Night

My brothers flight has been delayed to he won't be here till gone midnight - we'll have to leave a key for him and catch up with him in the morning

Back to school tomorrow here too, and work for me as I had today off.
