Ruby we missed you

Jas I'm the opposite today, plenty of motivation, but a clingy DD2! She has gone all whiny and hot and floppy again, so another dose of calpol and lots of huggles.

My neighbour has just come round with 4 selection boxes of biscuits! All unopened and been sitting in her cupboard! She is clearing out her cupboards and bought them over here....YUMMY! Big mistake though as I WILL eat them Kids will think its xmas!

Grouchy's next dangerous task today will be.......

GO Careful Now (said in a Father Ted stylee)

Well cuddled DD2 and stroked her hair, and she is now zonked out on the sofa.
~So I hung a load of washing on the line
~Put the Guinea Pigs in the garden for some fresh air
~Folded a load of washing up

Just about to have a potter in the garden...the sun is lovely

OP posts:
BiancaCastafiore · 19/03/2008 12:14

It's lovely and sunny here too Luda, I keep toying with heading out into the garden.
Grouchy be careful! Hope you're not hurt x

Our window cleaner has been and gone so I'm free to leave the house again should I need to.

Everywhere is pretty tidy tbh...I could do a more detailed clean/sort out of a couple of kitchen cupboards but am not sure I can face them....

dylsmum1998 · 19/03/2008 12:14

luda lucky you having sun, its freezing here today and very cloudy, although i can see some tiny flecks of blue sky amongst the cloud, can we come play in your garden please?

DontDreamItBeIt · 19/03/2008 12:18

GO I do hope you are ok[smile
Ludaloo poor dd2. Has she stopped being sick?
dylsmum grea ideas for Easter presents. I've done nothing with mine[blush

I've hoovered, tidied in here, and sorted out dd2s knickers and socks. She has about 100pairs of knickers...no exaggeration! They can't possibly all fit, so I'll have to take a closer look and get rid of some later I think.

I'm just waiing for the w/m to finish so I can hang it out before I go out

Grouchyoscar · 19/03/2008 12:25

Luda Funnily enough I fell off very much in the style of Mrs Doyle

I'm fine, the laundry basket took the brunt of it. The curtains are up and the blind is straight so all is well

sagacious · 19/03/2008 12:27

I keep finding other things to do !

I check back on my list and cleaning the fireplace (which I've done .. it seemed only fair now the mantle clock is all nice)but its NOT on my original list so I still have my list to do.

Gah !

Off to take DD to nursery which means I have two whole hours to myself to read OK ! magazine.... errr I mean do the list

(sunshiny but cold here)
Grouchy .. TAKE CARE !

dylsmum1998 · 19/03/2008 12:34

Ludaloo · 19/03/2008 12:49

I wish I was a size 8!

I am quite ATM....I feel someone should tell my new neighbours opposite, that although they have net curtains...the sun is shining so brightly through their front room I can see all the way in and to the road on the other side....so he and his lady friend need to go to the bedroom PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!

Put away/sort ironing
Sweep under sofas
Clean loo's x 3
Mop kitchen floor (properly)
Hot spot main bedroom done
Hot spot dc's room (fairly straight) done

Runs off trilling "spring is here"

Grouchyoscar · 19/03/2008 14:10

Maybe they know and maybe they like it that way...Just a thought to turn your stomach for you

I've cleaned the bedroom window now and other than a couple of hot spots I'll go and collect Ed and then, who knows

See you tomorrow

DontDreamItBeIt · 19/03/2008 15:54

Thanks Dame I will do that

I forgot FIL is due to arrive onigh. Grr.Just had a text and his flight is delayed so he won't be here til tomorrow. DD2 is tidying her room as he will have to sleep on the bottom bunk.

Ludaloo · 19/03/2008 16:16

Ooooh what a nightmare afternoon...

DH comes home at the very last minute with a much awaited cheque..which needs to be banked today!!
He is too busy to do it and has to go back to work...so I have to drive to town.
Got to the bank and DD2 is sick all over the place
I have a change of clothes in the car...so apart from the of having to get someone to section off the sick bit, I was quite prepared.
Half way home, and she is sick again All over DS's car seat...the floor and her lap
I have to pull over...and she finishes off all over my leg
I have about 5 mins spare to get back home to pick the other 2 kids up...so arrive covered in sick...with DD2 practically naked as I didn't have a second lot of spare clothes!!!!! and then no where for the other two to sit as the back seat was covered!!
AAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!

Worse still, DH has decided he is going to Coventry TONIGHT...as he has to pick something up he ordered which happened to be in Coventry (we were all going to go to see SIL and new nephew in Coventry tomorrow)

As DD2 is poorly, he is taking the other 2 and leaving me here with DD2.
Much better for me..because if we all went down, I'd have to come home with all 3 kids on a coach! (dh has a big pallet of tools to pick up so will need the back of the car...so we wouldn't have all fitted on the return journey)

Hectic and complicated as usual when Dh tries to arrange anything

OP posts:
DontDreamItBeIt · 19/03/2008 16:21

Luda that sounds awful, poor you, and poor dd2.

I hope you both get some rest tomorrow while the others are away.

Ludaloo · 19/03/2008 16:24

I need a lie down...

Just having to manickly wash car seat covers,
Pack bags for dh and the kids
Prepare supper before they all go,
Carry DD2 around as she is particularly traumatised by having to get naked and being sick!!!!

I'm still quite disturbed from having to witness the neighbours shanagans (dh found it very amusing )
I am sure they just don't realise how see- through nets are when the sun shines! The sun has gone in now, and you can't see in anymore (thank goodness!!)

OP posts:
Ludaloo · 19/03/2008 16:41

ok...

~Packed lunch for all three made (incase they get hungry on the journey, and for when they get there)
~Car seat covers on a quickwash cycle
~Plastic bit of car seat anti-bacced (grim)
~Supper in the oven

To Do:
~Pack clothes for kids and DH
~Pack toiletries
~Pack something to keep them occupied in the car (I expect they will sleep...DS probably will anyway)
~Get DD2 in the bath

Breath!

OP posts:
Grouchyoscar · 19/03/2008 17:21

Honestley Luda nwhy are men's brains wired completely incorrectly for life involving more than 1 person? Hope DD2 is getting better (better out than in as DF says)

Hello, thought I'd pop back as I had a moment

Ed has been collected (god knows how I made it home, my right leg feels like it wants to be a hot water cylinder )
Get Ed changed
Sort through basket of dry washing into putting away piles
Get uniform ready for morning
Do some reading with Ed (He's getting there. He even tackled a 'silent e' word well)
Make his tea and serve
Tidy away
Load DW and run

Going to meet DH at Tesco so I can suggest some shopping ideas (ha ha haaaaa)

Ed got a certificate from school to say he knows 28 word sounds now. Is that a number to be proud of? (He's 4.7) I've stuck it to the fridge

30 mins to launch time....

dylsmum1998 · 19/03/2008 17:24

oh luda poor you and dd2. hope she gets over it quickly
perhaps slip a polite note through neighbours door asking them to close their curtains!

dylsmum1998 · 19/03/2008 17:28

Grouchy it sounds like a number to be impressed with to me and if he got a certificate then my guess is its very good! buy him a treat i would
