What's the best way to clean mould from upholstery?

My off-white sofa is beginning to get mouldy round the back, I saw when I moved it out today. I live in Bermuda and we have very high humidity. Can anyone advise me the best way to clean it, bearing in mind that it will take ages to dry afterwards and that I will probably need to repeat the procedure from time to time so I can't use anything too harsh.

TIA

I use spray mould and mildew killer on my curtain linings. It doesn't always get rid of completely, but it has certainly kept it down and is very quick. Linings are cream and it has never bleached them

do you need a sofa? could you not just bring in a nice sofa shaped pile of warm Bermuda beach sand?
