As the title says, how do I get curry stains off of plastic utensils?
We currently have no dishwasher and washing by hand isn’t getting the stains out. Help please!

Put plastic utensils on a sunny windowsill , the stains will vanish within the day.

Thanks @Pestispeeved ! I’ll try that.

or mix eco/laundry bleach with boiling water (has to be boiling) , wait for it to stop frothing/overflowing and then soak utensils. Also amazing at getting tea/coffee stains out of cups/flasks etc

Thanks @GayPareeee if sunlight doesn’t work I’ll look for some.

No worries, if you have the vanish or other oxi action powder stain remover that will do it

Magic sponges (melamine sponges)

How did a day in sunshine go @Arewehumanorarewecupboards ?

Sorry just saw your reply @Pestispeeved .
sunshine helped although I’ve relaxed about it because I use a lot of spices and can’t keep up with the stains 😂

I got tomato soup stain out of my son’s favourite plastic bowl by soaking a denture tablet in it 😬
It worked on the bowl, but I had less luck with the clear plastic jug I did at the same time!

I think those sort of stains come out with oil, try rubbing cooking oil on them and then wipe with kitchen roll.

Unless you are using non stick pots and pans, best to use stainless steel utensils...Will never get stained.
