DD has just moved into her new bedroom which used to be the guest bedroom. Trouble is there are quite a few 'holes' in teh carpet where other furniture has stood for the last 18/24 months. Any ideas for getting rid of them please? I seem to remember being told to put an ice cube in the dip or did I dream that?

TIA

no, you didn't dream it! Kim and Aggie recommend leaving an ice cube in the dip to melt, then teasing the fibres until they lift.

Was just going to say I thought I'd heard something about icecubes doing the trick. Seems we were right!

should I put them on tomorrow then so that I can 'tease' the fibres up as soon as they are wet or can i put the ice cubes on overnight do you think and do the teasing in the morning?

I would put them on tomorrow and 'tease' the fibres up.

thanks all. Fingers crossed that it works because they look awful at the moment
