How often do you clean behind heavy furniture?

I live in a dusty Edwardian semi. Just about manage to keen on top of the visible superficial cleaning . If you look behind beds and chest of drawers or wardrobes however it’s awful. Thick dust and cobwebs. This house has a lot of cobwebs …..

Problem is moving these is almost impossible . When I have moved furniture to decorate the dust seems to build up very quickly.

how often realistically do most people do this kind of deep cleaning ?

When we need new furniture 😂

If I can't reach it with the hoover attachments/ feather duster/ felt-covered behind the radiator pokey thing... it doesn't get cleaned.

When we moved there was 10 years' worth of dusty cobwebs behind the washing machine 😱

Once a year

If I ever redecorate or move house - I will do it then.

My sofas have wooden feet on castors so you can see under them, they are swept underneath at least once a week otherwise you can see tumbleweed, same with my beds, I don’t have divans just bed frames so again swept at least weekly. All my wardrobes are fitted. If you don’t have furniture like this it would be really difficult and a significant job to clean underneath them.

Probably a couple of times a year, I've just had everything out from under the bed to hoover under and behind it, we only did it 6 months ago because we got a new bed and it was already pretty disgusting. I'd do it more often if I could but it's a big job, If we leave it any longer I start to get wheezy as I have asthma.

Once a year. Downstairs sofa is massive and tipping it over and hovering behind is a big job.

I do everything quarterly except the washing machine which probably only gets done when I get a new one, and the heavy sideboard style chest of drawers that only usually gets moved in the pre-Christmas clean. But wardrobes, bookcases, chests of drawers, etc are all emptied, sorted, deep cleaned and cleaned behind several times a year.

Beds and sofas every time I hoover, unless I'm doing a manic "traffic areas only" one for impending visitors.

I specifically bought beds which could be moved easily (on castors) so that I can clean underneath: I move them every 3 months or so (& also move light chests of drawers, bedside table etc) and hoover behind/underneath

I pull out fridge to clean under/behind every month or so (also do this at my mum’s & sister’s- there is ALWAYS enough food for a generous picnic under so it’s worth doing to hoover up crumbs/dried out peas/desiccated blueberries and the like)

I would have to empty bookcases to move and clean behind: I think this might actually be worth doing every year or two but I haven’t summoned up the energy yet
