Can I leave those harpic power tablets in the toilet when we go on holiday?

We have really hard water and get limescale build up easily. I was just wondering about putting those harpic tablets in the toilet when we go away to stop the inevitable limescale ring I'll probably come back to.

I always leave bog cleaner in the loo when we go away, a habit I picked up from my DMum. Not sure how much difference it really makes, but it certainly does no harm
