Put velcro up for blackout material.

Have found that the velcro comes off put leaves all the dried glue behind.

Is there a product I can put on to rid the glue quickly ?

Lakeland have a product called sticky-stuff remover - I used it on my upvc windows and it worked a treat.

Get an E-cloth while you are buying there, they are great on windows/glass/steel etc. Better than ANYTHING I have used.

nearest lakeland is about 20 miles away.

We move tomorrow so ideally need to get something for tonight or tomorrow morning.

Don;t bother with nailpolish remover, it didn't work on my windows. Lakeland do mailorder (our nearest is miles away too) but I don't think they'll do overnight!
Actually, if you are moving out don't bother altogether. Our windows were left in this state when we moved in. It's par for the course.
