Is this ridiculous for a deep clean?

Had a quote for deep clean of 4 bed house - £630! Plus £40 for oven and £85 for the inside of the windows. Carpets would be £300 on top. Surely this is too much? Never had a cleaner of any sort before so no idea what going rate is. It's not my house - relative who has passed away. House has been extensively decluttered and is not really dirty, I just don't have time to do it and I don't live nearby.

A coworker moved from Cheltenham last summer. Big house. I am guessing at least 5 bedrooms and 2 lounges. £525 for cleaning incl all appliances and professional cleaning of the carpets. Cheltenham is really expensive so I think the quote you got is too high.

I paid the same (London) for a 2 bed last year - move in clean

So maybe £450-500 would be reasonable, depending where you are?

I think you can expect to pay £20-30 per hour per person … mine was 3 people 5 hours
