Janni · 05/01/2008 17:01

Hello all, thanks for your kind words. Can't type much as have 3 year old DD on my lap. Had a good first day! Don't know if it was beginner's luck, but it really helps to commit yourself to things on here. Also went to supermarket and made a twit of myself by totally overloading the pushchair so it tipped over, twice, in the street and a neighbour had to pick up my bottle of wine that was rolling down the road!!!

To do: 1) wipe out fridge and put shopping away 2) help kids with homework

Janni · 05/01/2008 17:05

Grouchyoscar - hope you're feeling a bit better. Rant away - I'm sure it's good for the soul!!

tortoise · 05/01/2008 17:12

I am very pleased with myself! My room is now tidy!
No where else is though.

TheMadHouse · 05/01/2008 17:31

we are back from getting DS2 a new pair of shoes - well boots as he has really wide feet - bigger than they make and so nothing in the sales and had to pay full price. Feet are important.

Boys are fed and watered and the washer is back on as cat was sick on the mats, so might be coming down with something.

I have our bed to remake and then the boys to bath, story and bed after that then bath for me.

Bianca Glad you got there OK - I have some info on anxiety from my CBT I could post if you like mad mad house @ btinternet dot com (no spaces)

Groucy Boys never grow up do they. rant away

BiancaCastafiore · 05/01/2008 17:36

ludaloo · 05/01/2008 17:40

Hello

Glad you made it Bianca...will see you in the morning!

ludaloo · 05/01/2008 17:42

FGS thankyou, I got your email

pukkapatch · 05/01/2008 20:59

question to all you expert fly ladies. i'm a babystepper here, so dont know the way really.
whats different abouta weekend fly compared to weekays?
i have actually managed to keep the house leooking fairly reasonable. the kithcens ink shining is definitly the catalyst. and the fact that organised people lookf or stuff to do, whereas normal people, like me, look for stuff to avoid. so trying not to do that.

Janni · 05/01/2008 21:13

Pukkapatch am no expert and have been a lurker on here until today, but I think the difference is that the Flylady doesn't post specific weekend jobs, that's all. I guess you just decide what you want/need to do.

DH unloaded shopping so I had a nap and am now drinking my rescued wine and watching TV but will tidy up the kitchen before bed.

pukkapatch · 05/01/2008 21:53

thanks jannii.
also why are all peoples names highlighted on this thread? but never anywhere else on mn? or is this a goodhousekeeping thing, like the classifieds are a different coutnry?

TheMadHouse · 05/01/2008 22:25

HI there

They were highlighed when I started!!!

weekends, no mission and no detailed clean, just your daily routines and you are supposed to do a pamper mission Pink bit at bottom. Reading for pleasure

gigglewitch · 05/01/2008 22:32

hi all. i like this shiny sink thing. am becoming a bit obsessed about it tbh
downstairs still beautiful, now looking a bit naked with no decorations.(upstairs still a tip BTW ) been doing birthday cake for DS1 so more baking/artistic thingumy than clean house today.

tortoise · 05/01/2008 22:37

Names are highlighted so other FLYers reading can pick out a message specifically to them i think.

Shannaratinger · 06/01/2008 07:18

Morning everyone

Grouchy my DP is exactly the same, each tesco trip i'm waiting for him to moan at me for something.

gigglewitch i know what u mean about the shiny sink, got upset that DP didn't share my immense happiness at having it all sparkly adn watermark free.

Have 'lost ' the washing basket, must be in our bedroom adn DP is still asleep.
I think DS is awake, better get him sorted.
BBL

DontDreamItBeIt · 06/01/2008 08:32

I didn' get much done yeserday, bu dp did the shopping for me.
Grouchy - that sounds lke us alot of he ime. We don' supermarke shop together if I can help i, as wih three children in ow, plus the bickering it is just no fun. We save the bickering til afterwards!
He rang e from the shop to ask what kind of yoghurt, and I told him. He came home with mousse, the wrong youghurt, and three other puddingy things! The dc won't eat any of them, and I only like one, so he's going to be living on puddings now o prove he didn't just waste a load of money

He also bought ds () a car set for 5 yrs and over (he is almost 2) two weeks after Christmas
Words failed me by then.

Oh well, a new dayand a new start.
I left my sink full of washing up last night but I'v jus done it.
I didn't take the girls to the wildlife park yesterday as they spent all day playing out in the street, so I have to do that later today.

I've no idea how the bold names started, but when the threads get long it helps to find messages to yourself

DontDreamItBeIt · 06/01/2008 08:34

Day 6 for the babysteppers 2 min hotspotting sounds like it isn't long enough to make a difference, but it does work!

ludaloo · 06/01/2008 08:37

Morning ALL

No Flying this morning as I am off to meet Bianca and Simply this morning, but have plenty to do when I get back.

Pukkapatch....we started highlighting names as there are often lots of different people and lots going on, and sometimes you don't have time to read every post all the way through, and sometimes you might want to catch someones attention or say a specific message to them, if you highlight their name they won't miss the message hopefully

DontDreamItBeIt · 06/01/2008 08:40

Have fun Ludaloo, Bianca and Simply(very small)

FunkyGlassSlipper · 06/01/2008 09:07

Morning everyone.

Highlighted names is just another way for us flyladies to show our OCD tendencies

OP posts:
DontDreamItBeIt · 06/01/2008 09:13

lol

glitterfairy · 06/01/2008 09:17

I have just reviewed my to do list and there are a few not done but yesterday was very busy and i managed to get all my essentials done.

Thanks tort had a good walk/run. I am just getting into it again after a spell of being ill and just too busy.

Hi gibberish.

Today I have done a load of washing and have another to do. I am not managing the sink shining but am doing the clearing and washing up every night which is a distinct improvement.
