Just that really. Our one year old Miele already stinks, in spite of changing filter and bags. About to fork out for new one. DH says it doesn’t smell, but it does. Of sick. Any recommendations? I’d rather not spend loads? TIA

Sorry to say that my Miele is 9 years old and going strong

Thats only a baby, I've one double that age!

My GTech pongs after a while. I washed all the parts and it was better

Our Miele stinks too, I totally get it. I'm hoping it gives up and breaks soon so I can buy a Shark that our cleaner rates highly.

Like Iheart I put some of those Unstoppables washing beads into the Miele bag so it always smells wonderful when I use that. I use a cordless Dyson for hard floors but the Miele for all the carpeted rooms. Dyson doesn't quite cut it for lifting the pile back up.

Every hoover we've had smells like sick. I think it's the dog smell coming out of the rugs etc

I know the smell. Usually it is the filter but you say you have replaced this. Is there a second filter? Sometimes there is a washable one as well as a replaceable one

You need to wash the hose. My vacuum cleaner smells, a sort of smelly feet smell ( weird, as none of us have sweaty feet, we do have a dog though). DH asked the man in the shop and he said you need to unscrew the hose and wash it. It worked.
It needs a sloosh through with hot soapy water every now and again.
