How to keep up with laundry? Eco washing programme times.

I need a new washing machine. I want something that lasts longer than the 4 year old Bosch that's just died. I've looked at a Miele and a Sumsung Eco bubble (only really looked at this as comes with a 5 year warranty). On both washing machines the programmes seem quite long. If you've switched to a more environmentally friendly washing machine have you got a regime for washing? Currently, I do almost all the washing on my day off, and the programmes take about an hour each. However, there's no way I could manage to get through it all on one day with much longer programmes. I am considering doing a wash per day e.g Monday towels, Tuesday darks, Wednesday colours etc. If you do it that way, how does it work out for you?

Speed washes on these machine are fine to freshen stuff up .But in the instructions recommend half load for best results

We had second hand hotpoint think it could drain a reserviour . Thundered through full wash in under and hour water level was 3/4 the way up the glass door rinsed everything with an inch of its life .

The cycles are so long on the new ones as water level in them very low.

Thanks All, good to hear about the different machines and how you all keep up with the laundry. I plumped for a Miele in the end, it has a 1 hour eco power wash for a half load and the longer programmes can be reduced if necessary. However, I will try and do the super long eco washes by setting the time delay so the it's done by when I get home from work and try overnight washing too. The time delay on my current machine never worked properly beyond the first few months so it hasn't really been an option until now.
