Really stupid question I know but how do you get rid of them safely. They are old and blunt but I don't want to do anyone an injury!

Apologies for stupid questions

Wrap them in newspaper and put them in the bin?

You can hand them into your local police station who will dispose of them. I know that seems a bit extreme!

Or take them along to your recycling plant.

someone was asking the same question yesterday. oooh weird

You know I don't think I've ever thrown a knife away. I just resharpen them

But in answer to your question, apparently wrapping in newspaper and sellotaping up the package will do it.

Thanks, wrap them in newspaper it is then. (I normally just resharpen, but have been given some lovely new ones and keep nearly cutting my fingers off with the amount of knives in my drawer so I need to get rid of some)!

Twofalls - I freecycled some to new students who never have knives or teaspoons apparently

I wrap mine in cardboard then sellotape it up.
