Apart from Stain Devils? Had to smile sweetly as my friend dropped the serving spoon all over my sleeve. Grrrr..

Washing up liquid then wash it.

Do I just put the washing up liquid on neat?

It's a bugger.
I ruined a nice jersey Boden jacket with a big dollop of vinaigrette. Stain Devils made it worse by fading the area. Wash asap.

Ecover stain Remover is good for getting grease out, but put it on before you wash it.

Try a strong solution and a good soak in hot water in that Vanish oxy action stuff. DS really likes butter and regularly gets it all over himself but this does the trick.

Aha! Forgot I've got some oxt action in the cupboard - I'll try that and washing up liquid.

I bought the top specifically to go under 3 other tops, and in the 2 weeks I've had it Ive dropped a mascara wand on it and now olive oil. I'm not meant to have it, am I?

What if you don't tackle it immediately, is it still salvageable after a few washes?

MorocconOil · 21/11/2007 23:05

No, you need to tackle it before you wash it as washing it seems to set the stain.

A little washing up liquid in your hand, make a thick foam, wash in machine immediately. works every time.
