What jobs are you looking forward to once the schools are back?

I am beyond excited to get my DC back to school and do some tidying and cleaning that won’t be immediately rendered pointless by them messing things up again.

My top three:
Get the Christmas decorations put away (done this once since Christmas, but then they got pulled out again for a World Book Day costume Confused)
Go through the box that accumulates random toys and crap and throw away 90% of it without DC declaring that they “Really Neeeeeeeeeeeeeeed” plastic wrapping for things they no longer have, etc.
Scrub the bathroom and enjoy how it can be clean for entire hours when not being used to wash stones/paintbrushes/generally filthy children.

What are your top three? Grin

I work full time and have done so throughout so I will 'just' be able to work.

Back to work and DCs are back to school on Monday so my lovely clean, organised lockdown house will go to pot. We have bags and bags of charity donations to get rid of but that will have to wait until shops open.
I’ve loved working from home. So much easier to keep on top of household jobs.
Never did get round to cleaning the oven though! Maybe Easter hols...😞

I still have a toddler underfoot most of the time, but I'm looking forward to restoring my dining room, by putting away the Homeschool setup and all the stuff my DD has slowly migrated down there.

And getting out in the garden sometimes, so many winter jobs still need doing!

I'm looking forward to being able to dust and clean with my toddler in tow (he loves housework) without my DD manufacturing a crisis in her schoolwork the minute I leave go upstairs.

I'm also looking forward, unrelated, to loking for a job and hiring a cleaner, as I had put all of that on hold for a surprisingly extended maternity leave. Cannot wait to start earning money again, my savings are dwindling and if my DH says to me one more time "but how is that possible, I pay for everything except groceries" I will throttle him. But that's unrelated.

I’ll be back out to work so my house will once more become utterly neglected Sad.

Oh yes to putting home school stuff away! And cleaning my desk properly, every time I go to work in there it’s covered in a fresh layer of DD’s eraser rubbings. In addition to actual rubbing out she just picks tiny bits of all her rubbers, so my whole desk is a right mess. She has declared a resolution of never going in the office again Grin so now I can hoover everything up once and for all!

I'm looking forward to throwing all the windows open and giving the house a good clean. Cleaning food stains off the sofa. Throwing out all the bits of paper and crafts that have accumulated. Cleaning the oven. All with my headphones on. Cant wait!!

Decluttering is tough with DD around as she’s very reluctant to get rid of anything, but that’s going to be my main focus when she’s back at school. I’m on a Facebook free stuff group so it’s all going on there.

I cleared out the homeschooling/art supplies box this weekend; it felt great to recycle all the old bits of paper and toss out used-up paints. I’ve restocked a few things she actually uses, and the lid actually closes now.

DH is likely to be working away for a few days this month and I’m thinking about getting a cleaner in when he’s gone; over the last year I’ve only really been able to keep up with basic hygiene cleaning and the deep clean stuff really needs doing.

This. Taking a day off in the week to go to the tip with things that have been building up

In Wales so my DS went back on 23 Feb. So far I have organised the loft (and the Christmas decorations fit in at last) and also mine and DH's wardrobes which were a bit of a mess. This week I will be working on the bedding cupboard and DS' bedroom which is in a state.

The week after I will make my way downstairs. The sitting room won't need much as I keep pretty on top of that but the kitchen needs a proper organise and I need to book an oven clean.

From late March my focus will switch to the garden.
