2021 - most powerful upright hoover for sale in the UK

I am thinking of buying a new upright hoover - i have carpets throughout my house but think that my upright Dyson is not really doing the job very well any more.
Please could you recommend the most powerful upright hoover you think is out there for sale in the UK (weight in terms of lifting and price not an issue nor is the idea that it is cordless, happy to lug it around and plug it into each rooom as required etc) thank you in anticipation for any recommendations.

Hi @Bubblebu - if you're feeling flush, take a look at the Vorwerk upright or Kirby upright. They are £££ but very good.

Biggest downside is they are usually sold by the direct selling method by very enthusiastic salesmen...

Kirby is heavy but built like a tank and won't wear out.

We've got a Kirby and on the days when I do our upstairs I don't work out...it's fucking massive. And I love it!!

My Kirby has been banished to the loft, too heavy and cumbersome and it eats the brush belts. I'd look at a commercial Sebo which has two motors, or there is a firm that manufacture the older more powerful model sebo from spares which aren't made by the company any more due to eu regs.

Do you have to have membership of a trade retailer club etc to get a commercial model or can joe public buy these? If the latter where should I be looking online for this?
