Things you wash in the dishwasher

Recently I've become the proud new owner of a dishwasher.

I'm after suggestions of things you use it for - so far, I've put glass candle lanterns in (there's no wax on them), and my oven racks to rid of the loose bits before I scrub them. Anything else it's good for?

Things I clean regularly in the dishwasher:

Toothbrush holder
Fridge Shelves
Oven drawers/hob iron things/cooker knobs
Sink/bath strainers
Dish drainer
Handwash bottles (reusable ones)
Tea caddy
Cereal dispenser
Washing machine powder drawer
Bathroom bin
Cutlery drawer

That should be oven racks not drawers

I worked at a hotel 30 years ago and once a month we visited all the rooms and collected the toilet brushes and washed them in the dishwasher... I stopped eating there for a week afterwards each time

I've never put the toilet brushes in the dishwasher - in the washing machine yes on a 90 degree wash - made a hell of a noise!

i have a bottle brush washing up brush thing. and that goes in the dishwasher when it goes on a cleaning cycle.

i've washed duplos in it before.

and the cats bowls, baby bottles (although not at the same time).

dh washed his trainers in it once. he didnt want the noise of them flopping about in the washing machine so racked them up in the dishwasher instead.

Teenage caps come out not as shapeless as in a washing machine
