HELP ME! Sellotape tack on my work surfaces

So some bright spark (moi) decided my kitchen island would be a great wrapping station. Stuck several strips of tape on the edges for ease of use whilst trying to hold down wrapping paper, and trying to keep the cat out the way.
Now all wrapped n feeling accomplished, but now I'm
Left with hundreds of sticky tacky marks on the work surface left from the tape. I've tried dettol anti bac spray n it's done sod all.

Please someone help! All suggestions welcome (including don't do it again silly girl)

I second elbow grease spray. It's a yellow spray bottle and you can buy it in b&m etc for about a pound. Worked great for me when I had sticky marks on my window after taking the Halloween decorations down.

Furniture polish removes pretty much everything. Limescale on shower doors, rust, scuff marks, grime on tiles. Honestly swear by the stuff

Surgical spirit is what you need.
