Way back when I was a teenager (80s!) we had a sandwich toaster with different 'plates'

One for meat one for sandwiches and maybe a third one no-one knew what it was for

You just fitted them in and they heated up appropriately

Now I need a new sandwich toaster (mine is probably nearly that old) and I wondered if they still do the separate 'plates' with one sort of master machine?

Everything now seems to be single use - panini maker, sandwich toaster, waffle maker

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I used to have a George Foreman grill that had different plates

I have one from Lidl that has waffle plates and toastie plates. It's a few years old though so not sure if they'll get them in again.

Yes they do, ours has sandwich plates,grill/meat plates (totally rubbish in my eyes) and waffle plates. Let me see if I can find a link .

We have this one which comes with 16(!) options - though you do have to buy additional plates separately. We have 4 - toastie, pannini, waffle and pancake. Can vouch that it works pretty well, though you to have to really grease the waffle plate.

We have a Breville sandwich toaster with removable plates and waffle plates that also fit.

I bought a one for about twenty quid from eBay recently that has toastie, waffle and panini plates
