Do you have your washing machine upstairs?

Tell me pros and cons, please!

@Ginfordinner I've got a condenser heat pump dryer (expensive to purchase but cheap to run) and I tend to use that rather than line dry. It and the washing machine are both in my pantry. I'd rather have them on the first floor. If I was an avid line dryer, then I'd probably prefer the pantry location, but with our changeable weather I can't be arsed any more to watch for rain.
