What are these little mites I keep seeing?

I live in a Victorian terrace and since moving here I see these little mites everywhere. They are beige coloured, ting and move fast, and can be seen with the naked eye. I see them in the bathroom, kitchen, bedroom. They fit the description of spider mites but I don't know why they are everywhere in my house as I thought they lived in plants.

Any idea what they are and how to get rid of them?

Bird mites?

Had an issue with them here but I knew about it as there was a cluster of them in the corner of my bedroom where they were coming in from under the eaves and the little buggers were biting me from time to time.

It wasn't a happy time!
