How to get fish smell out of bamboo and silicone

Any tips? I left some salmon baby food in a bamboo bowl and on a bamboo/silicone spoon for about an hour. Washing-up liquid not doing the trick. Will bicarb work or will it damage the wood?

I’ve been making mistakes like this all day Blush

use those wretched lemon scented dishwasher tabs...they make everything taste of lemon detergent?

Lol but also ugh, no - smelly dishwasher tablets are the reason I had to replace the last lot of baby crockery. The bamboo stuff can’t go in the dishwasher (I thought by getting things that weren’t dishwasher proof I would avoid the same thing happening again, fool that I am)

Lemon juice might do the trick.

Thank you, Poppins - lemon juice worked! Phew!

Woohoo!

Lemon juice also works on smelly 'took too long to dry' clothes, deodorant stains and sun cream stains... such a useful fruit! Smile
