How often do you wash your bedding?

I wash all the bedding every Sunday. My MIL was absolutely horrified that I washed it that frequently . I was equally shocked that she didn't. I dread to think how frequently she washes her sheets but I wouldn't be surprised if she hasn't changed them since lock down as her cleaner usually does it!!!

Every two weeks for my own bed ..the rest of the family I leave it up to them how long they can live in their own sheets!! They are all adults !!

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 14/06/2020 23:59

Every Saturday. As soon as the new set’s on, the cat settles in to make sure it’s fully covered in her hair.

FlamedToACrisp · 14/06/2020 23:59

@FranklyDearIDontRiverdance

Once a week in summer months and once a week in winter.
so... once a week.
Whenwilllifebenormal · 15/06/2020 00:00

Every 1-2 weeks. I love the feel of clean sheets and should probably do it more often. By the time I remember, the baby is asleep in our room and it would wake him.

Namechange3007 · 15/06/2020 00:02

Every day? Twice a week? That's such an insane waste of electricity!!!

ProudMarys · 15/06/2020 00:07

Once a week on a Saturday. You lay in it for hours on end sweating and whatnot Confused. I can't see how anyone would want to leave it much longer

user1487194234 · 15/06/2020 00:11

Every 5 days

user1487194234 · 15/06/2020 00:13

Would actually love to do it more often
Would be my big luxury if I could afford my cleaner more often

abitoflight · 15/06/2020 00:22

I think I'll wash mine whenever this question appears on MN from now on
That's often enough for me

copperoliver · 15/06/2020 00:22

Every week. X

Viviennemary · 15/06/2020 00:26

As for towels. I wash them even if I only think about using them.

Noti23 · 15/06/2020 00:27

Well if I could afford a cleaner then it would be more often... 😂

expat101 · 15/06/2020 00:28

Every week for sheets, pillowcases and pc protectors. Monthly for quilt covers and mattress protector. Seasonally for dry cleaning of wool quilts but they are aired each week.

Mattress rotated when protector goes for a wash, vacuum underneath the timber frame etc.

Pahaha! Grin I was just thinking this! Going to be my new barometer too...

MontyBowJangles · 15/06/2020 00:41

@Viviennemary Grin Grin

Peterbishopssarcasticsmile · 15/06/2020 00:42

Try to do it every week but since having DS it sometimes stretches to two. Which makes me feel like a slattern Grin
Half the time I have clean stuff to ready to go on but it just sits on the chest of drawers judging me until I pull my finger out

IdblowJonSnow · 15/06/2020 00:46

Weekly but pillowcases sometimes more often.

Molly499 · 15/06/2020 00:46

Weekly without fail. For the people that are changing bedding much more often how the hell do you manage all of the ironing? I like a high cotton thread count and couldn’t sleep in un ironed sheets.

MarinePsychiatrist · 15/06/2020 01:05

Every couple of weeks I guess. It's not like I have a defined schedule or anything, I'm not a nutjob.

I shower before bed. I don't wet the bed or sweat profusely at night. So my bedding doesn't get very dirty very quickly.

MarinePsychiatrist · 15/06/2020 01:06

I also would never waste my time ironing bedsheets!

Pipandmum · 15/06/2020 01:12

Every two weeks or so. I sleep alone and wear a night shirt so I don't think that's bad.

Lonelykettleshed · 15/06/2020 01:15

Weekly, no PJs though.

Rubybluesy · 15/06/2020 01:21

Birthday and Christmas Grin

VanGoghsDog · 15/06/2020 01:25

Weekly for pillowcases and sheet, fortnightly for duvet cover. About twice a year for the mattress protector.

I don't iron them. I don't iron anything actually!

Ironytheoppositeofwrinkly · 15/06/2020 01:35

Every other day in the summer or if one of us has been ill. Much, much less than I should in the winter, maybe fortnightly?
