poor you the cat peed on our bed once it took ages to get out
Dont really know if you should put it on sofa but lemon juice seemed to work for us and I had to put some disinfectent on every day for a week too but it eventually worked

try using washing powder diluted in a small amount of water, dab it on and then keep putting kitchen towel over it until it soaks it all up, if that fails try using oxy or bicarb.
Do not use anything that is scented lemon or pine as it smells of pee to cats so they will re-christen the spot!

We had a spray from the pet shop which seemed to work quite well for dog wee (cant remember the name, might have been Bob Martins).

When DD was being potty trained and soaked the sofa cushion, the dog took it that this was an OK place to wee ... ended up putting the cushion covers in washing machine on handwash program and the foam seat cushion in the bath. I was lucky, it worked fine.
