How to get pee out of my car seat?

Had a trauma this morning. had to do an emergency nappy change half way up the A14. Whilst removing said nappy on the back seat, dd pees everywhere, smiling happily, as they do.

How do I get the pee out of my car upholstery? I know that if I leave it there, eventually it'll bleach won't it?

DS wee'd on a pure new wool rug twice in the same week (grrrh)

I covered the pee patch with a doubled up towel then I went over the towel with a steam iron on full steam. I kept lifting the towel to check how the patch was drying.

Urine is mostly water and the heat from the iron will neutralize the thingys that make the nasty wee smell,

Could you do that?

Thanks g.Oscar, am off out now with a damp tea towel and an iron on an extension lead (god knows what the neighbours will think ) to see if it'll work, it's worth a try!

(BTW, nappy trauma got worse, I think although I don't have proof that in the space between me walking back round to the passenger side to get a clean nappy as I'd had to use the first one for mopping, that Little Six ate some poo.... )

Depends how bad it is. If diabolical hire upholstery/carpet cleaner and clean. Otherwise I would give it a scrup with bicarbonate of soda and soapy water.
