Ruling out the bin and caddy that I have bleached with hot water to an inch of their lives, what other things can make a kitchen smell?

Something is smelling and I’m trying to find the source ....
I’ve cleaned the fridge out also.
Any suggestions welcome 💐.

Also if you have integrated kitchen units, I had to unlatch the doors that were attached to our fridge and freezer because we'd dropped stuff down the group when getting stuff out 😭

Under the units, remove the plinth and see what’s hiding behind there.

A friend's house kitchen smelled really awful and it took her ages to find out why. Spilled milk she'd mopped up had also run under the fridge and was turning to really honky cheese there.

Worst smell we ever had, which had me scrubbing the hallway every day, was a tiny shrew the cat had brought in and wedged under the lino in the understairs cupboard. Unbelievable how much stench a tiny rodent can make.

We came back from holiday once having left a couple of bulbs of garlic hanging from a kitchen hook. They hadn't dried in the usual way. They had gone rancid and the smell was awful ; not recognisable as garlic in fact. Really putrid. Heaven knows what the pet sitter thought!
