What do you do with clothes that are neither clean nor dirty?

I don't really want to put "dirty" clothes back in the wardrobe so normally end up hanging them over the back of a chair - but it doesn't look very neat!

What does everyone else do?

We have over ther door hooks that we hang them from.

Kinsters · 05/11/2019 02:21

Oh yes, hooks are a good idea!

I hang mine on the bed Confused

EveningLight · 05/11/2019 02:24

I go for the chair option too!

curious541 · 05/11/2019 03:08

Isn't that what the floordrobe was made for?

Yep, on The Chair here as well!

Peanutbatter · 05/11/2019 04:55

I put up a curtain rail on the spare room wall to hang up mid wear clothes but they still find their way to chairs, floor and bannister.

Kinsters · 05/11/2019 06:03

curious but I'm trying so hard to be neat and tidy! And the floordrobe spoils the illusion...

Why not just put them back in the wardrobe?

Fakeflowersaremynewnormal · 05/11/2019 06:20

The Chair!

RingtheBells · 05/11/2019 06:22

Chair or hooks which are over spare room door

MsChatterbox · 05/11/2019 06:23

Honesty I just put them back in the wardrobe. If they're too dirty/smelly to go in there then they will be washed.

sittingonacornflake · 05/11/2019 06:23

What about empty8ng a drawer especially for 'clirty' clothes

MaybeitsMaybelline · 05/11/2019 06:25

Fold them and lay them in the bottom of the wardrobe .

Savingforarainyday · 05/11/2019 06:27

Well, if they're clean enough to wear, then put them back in the wardrobe.

RingtheBells · 05/11/2019 06:33

Putting worn clothes back into wardrobes can encourage moths which are attracted to traces of dirt and sweat, best to have them out in the open as moths love a dark corner

HeatedDryer · 05/11/2019 06:35

Ah, these are called 'on the go' clothes in our house and can be found in various places. Floor, bed, over a chair, mine are plonked on a storage box thing.

InfiniteSheldon · 05/11/2019 06:42

Hung up/folded inside out so I know I've briefly worn them plus if I'm doing a delicate or wool wash I can see which clothes I can add to make it worthwhile.

Fudgecakes · 05/11/2019 06:44

Over the bannister in our house.

Another user of The Chair!

Apolloanddaphne · 05/11/2019 06:54

I just put them back in the wardrobe/cupboard/drawer.

DippyAvocado · 05/11/2019 06:55

Hang them out over a chair overnight then back in the wardrobe. Never had a moth problem.

Exp1etiveDeLighted · 05/11/2019 06:55

Floor here but they will be either worn again the next day or put in the wash so they don't mount up.

GOODCAT · 05/11/2019 06:55

Hooks on door for nicer clothes and an under bed open basket for jeans etc. I decided on this in a brief flurry of tidiness, but if we won the lottery and had the room I would have a separate wardrobe and drawer for it.
