Has anyone got a tumble dryer in the garden shed

And if so, how do you ensure the electricity cable is safe? I have a metal bike shed type of thing that's right outside my kitchen window, so an extension lead could easily reach, but are the water resistant ones really safe?

And is my condenser Tumble dryer going to survive outdoors in extreme cold weather?

Have tiniest kitchen and drying clothes with a dehumidifier on all night is so problematic.

Thank you!

My parents do but there is electricity in the shed itself. No issues that I’m aware of, it vents out of the window.

I have mine in the "conservatory". The coservatory was installed by previous owner. It is in the wrong place in the garden so we have knocked through to the garage which is separated from the house. The conservatory has its own power supply but it is very cold in winter and I haven't had any problems with tumble dryer. Because conservatory/garage is large I leave the vent on the floor next to the dryer.

If you're really close to the shed, get an electrician to run a power line off the kitchen, underground and put a socket in the shed.

Thanks everyone I think I'm going to have to go with Courtney's suggestion and call an electrician
