Good morning! Have stayed up waiting for the fantastic news that came in earlier and then finished off watching Eddie Izzard. Will be back later to check in with the latest on Peter. My thoughts are with them tonight.

luda The girls have put the pigs out in the garden today in a run made from offcuts from the worktops lol. They love being out so I'm on the lookout for a hutch and a run.

So pleased - joiner just came and quoted for finishing the kitchen. MUCH cheaper than I thought it would be and he can do it next week. Plumber is on his way now to plumb in the sink so I will HAVE WATER!!! So relieved - finally going to see an end to it all.

Well [blowing-of-own-trumpet-moment] we've had visitors this afternoon who described my house as "immaculate" I've worked really hard over the past week or two and have been feeling very much more on top of the junk as well as the general cleaning and have to admit, the house does look pretty darn good for it Just hope I can maintain it all now....

I could cry with relief actually. dh and I have narrowly missed getting divorced over the blasted kitchen. So at least the pressure is off him now and we can just wait for someone else to do the work. Never again. Never ever EVER again!

Oh blimey gibberish, don't start me on the upstairs bathroom! Four years, four looong years I've been waiting for ours to be done....

Can't complain though, the rest of the house is looking immaculate

Lol. My house is almost immaculate today too (but obviously not as immaculate as yours as no-one has actually COMMENTED on it.. . Wait until morning though... that's the problem with having an immaculate house, the only way is down lol.

Oh my God, I'm so touched by all your messages! I haven't stopped all day, I was out most of it getting ds's uniform etc for back to school, sorry but.................Ypeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, only twelve days until he goes back! Much as he is the apple of my eye, I have really felt the weight of being a single mum this Summer, with dd 21 being abroad working for the Summer season in Spain.

Anyhoo, I did manage to clean the kitchen and dining room and in honour of coming back to the fold, I made a special effort to shine the sink!

I definatly won't have a lot of time to fly tomorrow as I will be up in the hospital most of the day but will check in at some stage.
