Put in washing machine at 60 degrees but no luck...reluctant to use Vanish or anything like that as too harsh for DS's skin....

Anyone???

Try a paste made from bicarb of soda and a little water. Rub onto stain then leave for few minutes before washing. Dry in bright sun, if possible.
Bright sun really is fab for getting rid of stains - gets the bright yellow BF poo stains out of ds3's nappies a treat! Just a shame we don't have too much of it.

I would imagion so - i've only used it on white vests, it acts like a bleaching agent. not sure what else you could do - I imagion you've left them to dry out in the sun (I do find that normally gets the last little bits of the stains out. iycwim.) should be fine on the motif one thou.

(in fact I used it on a blue vest - sky blue) which now has a tyd dye effect on it! lol. so no don't use on colours! lol)

just wash and leave on the line for a few days. I do this with all of DC clothes that have bolognaise sauce or tomatoey stains on and they come up perfect.

sunshine is the best thing for tomato stains. i just do a 30% wash with ecover and the sunshine does the rest.
