Hi all,

battling a damp problem in master bedroom and seem to be winning so far

Mould & Mildew remover spray (Worked a charm on visible mould)
Have a de-humidifier runnting around the clock seems to collect a lot of moisture.

Window sills have sachets bought off ebay and a SpiraFlow which is a plastic thing with holes in it that you hang 2 moisture collecting bags.

I seem to be buying refill packs for the SpiraFlow and sachets off ebay quite frequently.

Was wondering if there is an organic way to collect the moisture - I was thinking maybe a hessian sack with rice or something else which is absorbent - Just trying to keep costs down and think outside the box.

Many thanks

You need to work out where the damp is coming from and sort it out. Otherwise you will have a never ending cycle of mopping it up.

If you've been running the dehumidifier 24/7 for a couple of weeks and still have lots of moisture, you have a bigger damp problem that needs addressing. (Unless it is because you are drying wet clothes in the bedroom daily?) We only use ours in the winter when we can't crack the windows and it only takes a few hours to get the whole place dried out.
