Tiny house - where to hang laundry?

We’re in a tiny terraced house with almost no space to hang laundry. In this weather we can hang outside, but that’s obviously not ideal all year round. No extra floor space in the kitchen, living room or landing, and so the only space for the necessary two airers is in our bedroom, with a dehumidifier running. I’m a bit sick of looking at clothes hanging up to dry when I’m lying in bed, though - it doesn’t exactly make for a welcoming, restful atmosphere! Any other ideas (other than a tumble dryer - again, no space!)

No you don't need a joiner - you screw into the joists and it's a 15 minute job. I have a huge drum washing machine and mine holds it all no problem.

I paid a handyman to install a pulley airer above our stairwell. It is BRILLIANT! By far the warmest place in the house and it keeps washing totally out of the way.

All times of year washing dries within 24h and in winter when the heating is on it is more like 12h (less for thinner items).

In addition to the ceiling airer I have two little laundry racks from Dunelm that hang over the banister, great for baby clothes and my socks.

We are very happy with our artweger ruckzuck wall mounted indoor drying rack. The ceiling mounted ones look fab though.

Also if you have a patio or deck, consider roofing it in something like clear plastic, or even just getting one of those enormous patio umbrellas, to extend the outdoor drying season.

We use a condenser tumble dryer for everything and keep it in the hall

We had a condenser dryer in the second bedroom when we lived in a flat. Before that we used the over bath pull out washing line I linked to. I also second doing a small wash every day to keep on top of things.
