What's that smell???

So I've got a problem with my sink....

It really smells.

It's not a drainy/sewage smell. It's more of a damp, soily, peaty kind of smell. A bit like when a bag of potatoes is a bit musty.

Any ideas? It's getting really bad. I've used drain unblockers and nothing's helping.

Mouse that’s died on the hot water pipe? That’s the foulest smell I’ve ever encountered.

I've tried unblockers yep. Jeyes fluid in the outside drain.... I'm not sure I'll get anything in the overflow holes, they're tiny

You might have a very slow leak. We had one in the upstairs sink. Was leaking for months before we realised and we kept smelling a musty damp odour but couldn't work out what it was. All the floor and the wall the tiles were stuck onto were damp. Took the plumber 10 minutes to fix it.
