Great hacks you've used

I saw this on the DM
To get stuck on burnt bits off oven trays or dishes soak in fabric conditioner - I used Comfort.
It worked a treat.

If baking pavlova use a "magic oven liner" you've cut to size. The pavlova just peels off.
No baking dish required.
Or use a silicone cake mould.

Have you any great hack ?

Thanks. I shall try all of those tips in turn.

I’ve got the same problem with a ceramic hob
Surely a razor blade can’t be safe?

In the past we stupidly used a hack of keeping the nursery(bedroom) dark and cool by putting slightly sprayed with water tinfoil on the windows(it attached itself then). When we took it off in a few weeks there were streaks left all over the windows which no solution would remove, and we tried everything recommended on the internet.
The only thing which DH thought to do and which was a PITA but worked brilliantly was to scrape them off using a blade from a stanley knife. If it was safe to do on the window glass, I imagine it should be safe on glass hobs?

Placemarking as I want to use these tips.

Magic erasers cleaned all of my paintwork this year so I didn't need to repaint - totally amazing, cleaned all the scuff marks and the crayon etc.

A little bleach on a cloth cleans enamel sinks (mine gets very stained and this works to bring it back to white).

A dry microfibre cloth on taps, (especially chrome ones), and sinks after you've cleaned them. It polishes them up so they gleam. Good for anything hard and shiny. I go round my door handles with one to take off fingerprints and on the ceramic basins. They look brand new afterwards. I use one from Lakeland because it's smoother than others and seems to work better

House Mate stainless steel cleaner is the best one I've tried. I tried baby oil which worked well but left a greasy coating. This doesn't leave a residue and manages to clean without smudges and smears.

For greasy dirty collars and cuffs use shampoo. Also great for getting the greasy head marks off leather sofas, I use a gentle shampoo, Johnsons baby shampoo on a damp cloth.
