New baby, trying to switch to homemade/eco products - what can I use for...?

I've made a mix of water and white vinegar with a drop of lavander essential oil but not sure if that's suitable for everything?

I have some eco degreaser, washing-up liquid and clothes washing liquid but apart from those I'd like to make my own mixes, and the fewer the better! We have little time and are generally crap at housework (hence previous habit of sloshing bleach around) but with a small baby who will soon be crawling I don't want him breathing in or licking up harsh chemicals - plus I'd like to be more eco-friendly.

I use diluted Ecover washing up liquid in a spray bottle as a multipurpose surface cleaner, bathroom cleaner and for mopping floors. A wet microfibre cloth or cotton rag is fine for damp dusting, if you've got wooden furniture you can make your own furniture polish with beeswax. Diluted vinegar is great for glass and mirrors.

dusting just needs a duster.
bathroom and loo - no-bleach cleaners, pay a fortune for the ones with the 'green' credentials or use the standard ones which are just the same only much cheaper.
windows; white vinegar, comes in a bottle from Wilkinsons.
floors; mop occasionally and use a cheap floor cleaner.

remember that most things are chemicals, including unnecessary stinks aka fragrances. So lose the 'essential' oil.

Cleans , sanitises and all it leaves is water .

No babies here but I have cats . Their paws will pick up anything on the floor and they lick them. Why would I want anything toxic on them.

I used to have guinea-pigs . Again the steam wand was ideal .
