Anyone recommend a steam mop? Good or waste of time?

Please can someone recommend a particular steam mop or are they really an old fashioned thing nowadays ? We have tiles, parquet and laminate floors and I’m looking for something that will clean them better than just a mop which seems to slosh a lot of water around but never get quite all the dirt off. Do they manage to clean a large area on one go or do you have to keep recharging it? Also has anyone had issues with laminate flooring lifting when using one. Thanks very much.

I had one. Used it once then it sat in its box in the cupboard under the stairs for 2 years. Sold it on FB for about a tenth of what I'd paid for it.

I have a Morphy Richards and it's great.
I have the use of a Vax in a relatives home ( I help out a bit).
I hate the Vax. It's heavy and falls over.
It's not working as well as I think it should and I wanted to bring it to be fixed.
I phoned Vax customer care and there was nowhere they could or would recommend to check it out for me. At €100 approx I'm not impressed.
I wouldn't buy Vax myself because of that.
Customer care how are ye !!!Shock
