It has been shoved on top of my wardrobe since the wedding 2 years ago.

I have decided to flog it as I have the memories/photos dont need to keep dress.

Its a maggie sottero dress and they seem to sell well.....

I dont want to pay £100 to clean it just in case it doesnt sell so it is now soaking in my sink and about go in washer on delicate cycle.

Will it fall apart? Will all the beads fall off?!!

Pecka you look absolutely gorgeous..I'm sure the dress will sell. But I really think I have to find a dress that will suit me rather than hoping a gorgeous dress will hide my flab.

PeckaRolloverAgain · 05/07/2007 19:31

Thanks mumto3 When you start looking you will KNOW which is yours, mine was the first of about 30 I tried on and just knew straight away and went back to it!

Good luck xx

Thanks I hope so. Going to start weightwatchers next week so I will hopefully be a 10-12 again before I get married next summer..don't even want to consider trying dresses on just now..I'm too fat!!

What was getting married at Gretna Green like?

PeckaRolloverAgain · 05/07/2007 19:36

Absolutely FANTASTIC - I was at a wedding 2 weeks ago and still people come up to me and say "My favourite ever wedding was yours at Gretna...."

The atmosphere was just brilliant, really relaxed and fun.

We actually did it a mile up the road from gretna at the Mill Forge which has its own little chapel, then you have your reception there and all the guests stayed in individual chalets and we made a weekend of it.

I was really worried it was goign to be lame and cheesy but it was really romantic and lovely and cost a FRACTION of the price of a traditional wedding.

My photographer was about £80!

Pecka

Sorry wee hijack! I got married at Gretna in April in the registry office then had a blessing over the Anvil. You are right it is cheesy but we had a fab day too.

Did you go the the Anvil at all? We are going back to stay for out first anniversary next April.

PeckaRolloverAgain · 07/07/2007 17:37

There was a little pretendy anvil in the chapel that we got married in but no didnt go to the proper anvil!

I keep intending to go back for an anniversary, bet that would be nice.

OP posts:
agalch · 07/07/2007 17:45

How long ago did you get married? You could get DH to whisk you off and renew your vows at the anvil. We watched our wedding video again last night

Sad hey??

PeckaRolloverAgain · 07/07/2007 17:45

2 years next week

Flamesparrow · 07/07/2007 17:54

Aww I always think of you as my wedding buddy - only a couple of months between us, both with Maggie dresses and talking about it on the build up.

Not sure I could part with my dress yet - my mum did pay for it all to be cleaned and stored in a fancy box at the time though (she was very very obsessive with the budget and added it in when we were adding up!!)

mozzybear · 09/07/2007 20:43

Pecka, did a bloke called Colin do your photos?

Furball · 09/07/2007 20:48

another funny question but, you don't like formula 1 do you per chance?

PeckaRolloverAgain · 10/07/2007 09:04

Yes! Colin Bell I think it was

Formula 1? Is that question for me?
