It has been shoved on top of my wardrobe since the wedding 2 years ago.

I have decided to flog it as I have the memories/photos dont need to keep dress.

Its a maggie sottero dress and they seem to sell well.....

I dont want to pay £100 to clean it just in case it doesnt sell so it is now soaking in my sink and about go in washer on delicate cycle.

Will it fall apart? Will all the beads fall off?!!

How much are you wanting for it??
I love these dresses and we are planning to book our wedding for next august??

PeckaRolloverAgain · 05/07/2007 16:00

Im not sure yet fifi!

I would be open to offers I think!

It is an absolutely Feckin gorgeous dress if I do say so myself!

Ok, normal 40 degree wash low spin i think!

what size is it?

PeckaRolloverAgain · 05/07/2007 16:32

It is a 12 but has a corset tie back so that is flexible if you see what I mean by how tight you tie it.

it is gorgeous..will you be ebaying it?

PeckaRolloverAgain · 05/07/2007 17:14

Yeah, will put it on ebay and the selling boards on Confetti and Hitched

Unless a MN'er would like it through here

wish I'd washed mine .. cost £75 to dry clean and that was 7 years ago

and its just hanging in my cupboard

maybe I should sell it too?

mumto3girls · 05/07/2007 17:31

it's very hard to buy a dress without trying it on...

PeckaRolloverAgain · 05/07/2007 17:34

Well, I listened to hermenk, washed it on delicates cycle and turned spin off.

It has come out BEAUTIFULLY

Bright, clean, sparkling and all marks out!

It looks practically brand new

The only marks left are a couple underneath which even if brand new as soon as you stepped out in it would be marked anyway.

Really pleased I did it now but think it will be hard to part with because it has reminded me how lush it is!

BUT with baby number 3 coming, a holiday and new kitchen to pay for - needs must!

I won't be selling mine though. It wasn't expensive in the first place and I think the zip is jammed from trying it on 'to see if it would still fit'

mumto3girls · 05/07/2007 17:38

Surrey Pecka

I'm sure you'll sell it though it looks lovely.

My parents live in Lincs....

PeckaRolloverAgain · 05/07/2007 17:40

Fiofio, it will maybe buy me a few nappies

OP posts:
PeckaRolloverAgain · 05/07/2007 17:41

Thats fine mumto3 - the only thing I would suggest if you were interested (as its SUCH a bargain) was to go and try on a maggie size 12 in the shops. Not sure if this one is still in the shops although it should be as on their website still but all size 12 Maggies should be about the same.

nomdeplume · 05/07/2007 17:44

Was it adjusted for you at all, pecka ?

Mine was

PeckaRolloverAgain · 05/07/2007 17:47

Just in length, Im 5ft 7

Was adjusted for me wearing high heels.

So should be fine unless much taller than me

OP posts:
mumto3girls · 05/07/2007 17:47

what would be the offer you're looking for?

PeckaRolloverAgain · 05/07/2007 17:48

Im really not sure, Im going to do a bit of research on for sale boards on wedding sites to see what the going rate is.

Probably £200 - 300 or thereabouts

OP posts:
mumto3girls · 05/07/2007 17:54

I'm only 5'4'' tall....

PeckaRolloverAgain · 05/07/2007 18:01

You'd need a few inches lopped off it!! That would probably solve the stains underneath round the edge!

I tell you what, I will put together some pictures of it so you can see it properly in the flesh and then see.

~Theres no pressure, Im sure I will sell it and if I dont at least its all pristine to store now
