So my DF and I have noticed an awful slightly mouldy milk smell coming from our microwave. We've tried air freshener, wipes and soapy water but still no hope. Please help urgent!!!

I hope you didn't spray air freshener into the microwave?
I'd take everything out and give it a good clean then half fill a cup with cold water and a bit of lemon juice, put it on for about 2.5 mins and then wipe around inside the microwave again.

Half a lemon then pop the microwave on for a minute or two. Bingo it will smell amazing and be easy to clean.

A plastic jug with about half a pint of water in. Microwave it til it boils, leave door closed so steam cleans the oven, about 10 mins, then wipe clean. Never close the door while it's still warm and wet from cooking. Always use a plate cover to stop splatters.

Heat a bowl of hot water and lemon for a few minutes until it steams up. Then make a paste with white vinegar, lemon juice and bicarbonate of soda and coat the microwave with it. Let it sit for a bit and wipe away.

Wow thanks for the speedy replies! We sprayed air freshener around the entrance, is this bad?? We always close the door after use so I will make sure DH and DD know not to do this. I will give the lemon a blast; I'll let you know how we get on!!
