Pink blotches appearing on my Laura Ashley Villandry Velvet Sofa

I have seen a few threads on this over the last 3-4 years. Is anyone else getting pink blotches on their velvet Laura Ashley sofas? Not sure if Customer Services have satisfied any complaints? My Villandry Velvet sofa has turned pink where it has had contact with moisture, both on the frame and on the seat pads. It seems that the velvet sofas need to be in a show home and not used day to day!! The fabric is terrible. My sofa is now patchy and shabby looking after 2.5 years of use - and it was expensive fabric. I now need to replace it or get it recovered. I hope other customers have been able to get a good response from Laura Ashley Customer Services. I'm still trying to get a resolution with them

I had exactly the same problem with a sofa I had covered in black designers guild velvet. I couldn't believe that the upholsterer knowing we had animals and a reasonably lived in attitude to our home didn't think to point out that it was virtually uncleanable. Other than by vacuum or a brush.

I think it is more to do with colour maybe - ours was bullet proof, looked like new after 10 years.... we had a midnight blue colour villandry velvet and no issues at all.

My purple villandry velvet ottoman is very discoloured, light use, just one spill and it's pink now....
